MEET STAN DUNCAN
NEW LEADERSHIP THAT LISTENS,
CARES, AND ACTS FOR OUR COMMUNITIES
I am a resident of Newton and a candidate for one of the three State Representative seats in the new District 20 for Plaistow, Newton, and South Hampton.

I have lived in New England for over 30 years, and I am proud to be part of NH’s independent-minded tradition. As your Representative, I will collaborate across all divides to bolster NH’s long-standing reputation as a forward-thinking, practical state.
Much of my life has been devoted to working for the common good for all people. I've been a church pastor with the United Church of Christ, a college-level economics instructor, and a volunteer for hunger, poverty and justice organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Bread for the World, Jubilee USA and Church World Service. For several years, I worked for

Equal Exchange, a mission-driven Fair Trade coffee company, leading delegations of US coffee consumers to developing countries to witness the poverty of coffee growers and their struggles for hope and justice.
In all of these roles, I have dealt extensively with partisan and non-partisan leaders and politicians at the state and national level to achieve positive goals that benefit all people.
I am experienced in, and dedicated to, listening to all voices, and to the respectful give-and-take of effective cooperation and policymaking. I believe that cooperation between parties and attention to the will of the voters strengthens our communities and state. And I believe that I will be able to work with people on both sides of the partisan divides to craft laws that will be a benefit for all of our citizens.
