I come from a middle class family that has stressed public service for as long as I can remember. And I want to work for you. In my life I've been an educator, a pastor, an economic development researcher, and a social worker at a developmentally disabled adult education center.

My goals as your representative are to create more affordable housing in New Hampshire, improve our public education, and to protect the rights of women to make their own decisions about their bodies and reproductive healthcare. With my decades of working with decision makers from all backgrounds and beliefs, I believe I've gained the skills to  know what it takes to find solutions, navigate difficulties, and get things done.

LIST OF ISSUES I CARE ABOUT
(not exhaustive)

EDUCATION

-Consistent and improved support and funding for our public schools
-Demonstrated respect for teachers, school personnel, and community volunteers

-Factual, relevant, and age-appropriate curricula that prepares students for life

VOTING RIGHTS AND FAIR ELECTION POLICY

- Procedures that help all eligible voters cast their votes with ease and confidence
- Elections that are administered in a scrupulously fair and non-partisan way
- Balanced, non-partisan redistricting to honor every candidate and vote

HEALTHCARE RESOURCES

- Legislation that preserves the privacy and autonomy of all patients

- Protection of a woman's right to make healthcare and reproductive decisions about her body without government intrusion

- Education, information, and community assistance with public health issues

PUBLIC SAFETY

- Strong, inclusive, and trustworthy communities, to deter hostility and violence
- Common sense gun laws that honor the intent of the Second Amendment
- Improved security provisions for schools across NH

HUMAN DECENCY

A personal note:
Remember when politicians were able to talk about issues without name-calling and misrepresenting their opponent's positions? It would be a great step forward for our country, starting with Rockingham County, if we could go back to those times.

My most likely opponents are good and decent people. They are loyal patriots and lovers of this country. There are issues we disagree on and values we share in common. But no matter how this election comes out, I will always appreciate them for their service to this community. The fact that I believe that I would be the better candidate to represent the communities of District 20, does not take away from my gratitude for their work and commitments.

And I also hope and pray that an attitude of compassion and respect among all candidates and parties might soon come back to our neighborhoods and our nation, or else we may eventually lose this nation that we all love so much.
